Description: The BlackHawk Plaza was conceived among collaborators working to enhance community cohesion around the intersection of Turk & Hyde Sts, Tenderloin, San Francisco. Recognizing that music has been bubbling up at this crossroads for a least 60 years, or more, the concept of a music amphitheater dedicated to this legacy was born.
The mural, "River to the Skies" realized by Adrian Arias in 2021-22 is a manifestation of this profound energy. Co-sponsored by Luggage Store Gallery, SEIU Local 87 and Demonstration Gardens.
